--Xiotech has entered into a partnership with Xcedex, a provider of virtualization consulting services. Xiotech will resell Xcedex's X_Factor Virtualization Readiness Planning (VRP) and Virtualization Readiness Design (VRD) analytics tools, which allow users to assess their IT environments in preparation for virtualization projects.
--Open-E's Data Storage Server (DSS) NAS/SAN software has been certified for use with Virtual Iron's server virtualization software.      
--Asempra has added Convergence Technology Consulting to its reseller roster. Convergence will resell Asempra's Business Continuity Server product line.
--Emulex's 8Gbps Fibre Channel LightPulse HBAs have been selected by Hewlett-Packard for integration into the HP StorageWorks EVA4400 SAN Starter Kit.
--Plasmon PLC is working with IBM to provide a disaster-recovery offering that combines Plasmon's UDO Archive Appliance with IBM's Hot Site Recovery Service to allow IBM FileNet P8 customers to leverage the strengths of archival disk and optical media in a single system.
--Vision Solutions has a worldwide distribution agreement with IBM whereby IBM will begin distributing Vision Cluster1 as a flagship enterprise cluster management solution for the IBM i operating system.
--StorageCraft Technology, a provider of disk-based backup, disaster recovery, system migration, data protection, and security solutions for servers, desktops, and laptops, is partnering with LabTech Software to provide ShadowProtect backup and disaster-recovery software to LabTech's continuous backup-and-recovery offering.
