--DataCore Software and Fujitsu-Siemens Computers (FSC), a producer of IT-Infrastructure services, announced a new partnership across Europe. Both companies will collaborate in distribution, marketing, and technical support.
--Hifn has attained Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program.
--Verari Systems has added support for solid-state disk (SSD) drives from Intel in the form of blades for Verari’s BladeRack 2 X-Series platforms. Intel’s X-25M SATA-based SSDs use flash memory technology.
--PeakData LLC, a VAR of storage systems and storage management software solutions and services to enterprise customers, has signed a Master Distributor Agreement with Hi-Stor, a provider of high-impact storage management software solutions.
--Chelsio Communications announced its T3-based 10GbE adapters have been selected by Isilon Systems to provide the high-speed interconnect for its recently introduced Accelerator-x clustered storage extension node.
--Asigra and Consonus announced a partnership to provide Consonus Virtual Business Continuity (VBC) services. Consonus now provides a VBC managed service that uses the Asigra Televaulting Information Recovery Management services platform. The initial VBC offering is focused on Microsoft Exchange with similar capabilities for other applications on the Consonus VBC roadmap.
--Start-up ParaScale is making its ParaScale Cloud Storage (PCS) software available for customer trials. Targeted at service providers and enterprises, PCS is a software-only product that enables the creation and management of cloud storage infrastructures. The trial is intended to demonstrate the PCS software can be used to cobble together standard servers from multiple vendors into a self-managing cloud, adding capacity and removing storage nodes on-the-fly.
--Emulex's LightPulse 8Gbps Fibre Channel HBAs will be branded, sold, and supported for SAN connectivity by Sun Microsystems.
--VKernel, a provider of virtual appliances for managing virtual server environments, will add support for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V with its lineup of Performance Lifecycle Management offerings.
