July 3, 2008 - Adaptec has sold its Snap Server NAS business, including the brand and all assets related to Snap Server networked and desktop storage appliances, to Overland Storage for a net consideration of $3.6 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Adaptec will retain ownership of all iSCSI-based hardware and software products and assets, which will be rebranded and managed by Adaptec.
- Atempo and Nirvanix have announced the full integration of Atempo Digital Archive (ADA) with the Nirvanix Storage Delivery Network (SDN).
- Reldata's iSCSI products have been verified for VMware Infrastructure 3 and are listed on the Storage / SAN Compatibility Guide for VMware ESX 3.5.
- Hifn's Swarm Series has been certified with VMware ESX 3.5 and VMware ESX 3i, expanding the customer options for iSCSI SAN storage in a VMware virtual environment.
- InMage Systems has a partnership with Marathon Systems, a provider of fault-tolerant, high-availability software for physical and virtual servers. Marathon will offer InMage's flagship DR-Scout solution to its customer base.
