Recommind Extends eDiscovery Leadership With Axcelerate eDiscovery 3.0-Latest Release Adds Automatic Language Detection, Built-in Workflow Management and Administration to Industry's Most Advanced Review and Analysis Solution

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug 25, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Recommind, a leading provider of enterprise search, email management and eDiscovery systems for enterprises and law firms, today announced the immediate availability of version 3.0 of its advanced Axcelerate(TM) eDiscovery software. Expanding the industry's only review and analysis solution with automated First Pass Review(TM) and One Click Coding(TM) technology, Axcelerate eDiscovery version 3.0 adds automatic language detection, integrated workflow management and a robust administration console, greatly extending Axcelerate eDiscovery's leadership position as the most powerful eDiscovery platform on the market today.

"Axcelerate eDiscovery 3.0 helps reduce the risk, cost and time traditionally associated with eDiscovery, enabling our firm to move faster, respond more intuitively and be more cost effective with our clients' litigation budgets," said Florinda Baldridge, Director of Practice Support, Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP. "Recommind's ability to combine technical innovation with deep legal expertise and knowledge makes it a unique vendor in the eDiscovery industry. The result is powerful solutions like Axcelerate eDiscovery which have been specifically engineered to address the challenges and needs of the legal space. Axcelerate eDiscovery 3.0 is a crucial component of our advanced litigation practice that gives Fulbright -- and our clients -- an advantage over the opposition."

Unique among its peers, Axcelerate eDiscovery offers First-Pass Review(TM) and patent-pending One-Click Coding(TM) functionality, which work with any language and any type of structured or unstructured data. This award-winning technology enables Axcelerate eDiscovery to automatically organize even multi-terabyte document sets prior to review for deep early case assessment while also automatically "pre-coding" an entire collection based on each document's subject matter and priority. Together, these unique features dramatically expedite the review process, while simultaneously improving overall review accuracy and consistency and lowering review costs.

"As data stores grow larger and more geographically dispersed and the demands for eDiscovery continue to intensify, the need for more advanced review and analysis solutions has become mission critical for enterprises," said Vivian Tero, Program Manager, Compliance Infrastructure at IDC. "Automated, concept-based solutions such as Recommind's Axcelerate eDiscovery help bridge the gap between data, litigation readiness and document review and analysis, enabling businesses and law firms to more effectively comply withthe revised FRCP and better service their customers. This release marks a significant extension of Recommind's eDiscovery offering and will help their customers greatly with their eDiscovery efforts."

With Axcelerate eDiscovery 3.0, Recommind has added automated language detection and filtering, including double-byte languages, allowing the system to index, cull, filter, search, review and code documents in myriad languages. In addition, Axcelerate eDiscovery 3.0 provides robust, built-in workflow management and review administration. An integrated workflow console automates multi-tiered reviews and rules-based review batching, enabling more efficient resource management and multi-layered coding verification, while a completely new administration console offers built-in quality control management, detailed reporting and extensive system and performance monitoring and alerting.

Other new capabilities include:

-- Smart Filters(TM) 2.0 -- powerful filters are automatically populated with critical data with which a collection can be instantly manipulated, including key concepts, key phrases, domain, language, and many more; users can also now multi-select within and across filters and expand any filter using intuitive "type ahead" technology

-- Native file viewing -- instantly view any one of hundreds of different file types

-- Enhanced processing -- documents can now be processed, filtered, culled, and deduped from within Axcelerate eDiscovery, removing a costly and time-consuming step in the review process

-- Faster indexing performance -- attorneys can begin reviewing and coding documents almost immediately

"In today's business environment, data volumes are too large, timelines too short and eDiscovery requirements too complex not to have an automated review and analysis solution with sophisticated early case assessment. What's more, recent case law like Victor Stanley highlights the need for the legal industry's best conceptual search functionality -- which is represented in Axcelerate eDiscovery -- to be an integral part of any document review process," said Robert Tennant, CEO, Recommind. "We worked closely with key customers like Fulbright & Jaworski to expand the functionality of Axcelerate eDiscovery, building out the specific features that will enable them to manage their entire review process far more effectively. The result is an even more powerful ECA, review and analysis system that gives our customers -- and their clients -- a significant advantage over their competition."

Launched in August 2008, Axcelerate eDiscovery was developed in close coordination with several of the world's largest law firms and was recognized as one of the industry's leading solutions in the benchmark 2008 Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery Survey. Nearly one-third of the AmLaw 100 uses Recommind technology, making Recommind the clear concept search and auto-categorization leader in the legal industry.
