Silver Peak Systems, which specializes in WAN optimization, announced that its NX appliances have received EMC E-Lab qualification to support EMC RecoverPoint. Silver Peak’s NX appliances have also been qualified with EMC’s Atmos cloud storage platforms. Separately, Silver Peak announced that 3PAR and Xiotech have joined its data center infrastructure partner program. Other partners include Dell, EMC, HDS and NetApp.

SafeNet has teamed with NetApp to develop storage security platforms. SafeNet’s Information Lifecycle Protection Solutions combine encryption, authentication and key management.

Atto Technology’s Celerity Fibre Channel HBAs are now available through the EMC Select program. The 4Gbps and 8Gbps HBAs can connect Mac OS X and Windows systems to EMC Celerra, Clariion and Symmetrix arrays.

Hitachi Ltd. has implemented Emulex’s LightPulse 8Gbps Fibre Channel HBAs in its BladeSymphony 2000 blade servers.

Chelsio Communications and telecom equipment and network provider ZTE Corp. are co-developing networking products based on Chelsio’s 10GbE technology. The deal encompasses Chelsio’s Terminator 4 technology and Unified Storage Server software. Terminator 4 supports TCP and iSCSI offload, iWARP RDMA, and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE).
