-- Zettapoint announced its DBclassify software solution will be available through the EMC Select Program. DBclassify analyzes and differentiates structured data for full visibility into the actual use of the database. Through EMC Select, customers can purchase storage Right-Tiering technology assistance, which provides Oracle database customers with a way to analyze data usage patterns and the relationships between business processes and the data used.

-- EMC has also partnered with Precise to resell Precise's products through the EMC Select program. Customers can now purchase Precise software from both EMC and its authorized partners. The Precise products trace application performance problems from the user to the physical storage device.  

-- CTERA Networks announced the general availability of the company's first two Cloud Attached Storage devices: the CTERA CloudPlug and the CTERA C200, which combine local network-attached storage (NAS) with online backup. The CTERA CloudPlug turns USB or eSATA hard drives into NAS devices with integrated cloud backup.

-- Asigra has partnered with Heartland Business Systems, a VAR 500 value-added reseller (VAR) to offer cloud services based on the Asigra v9 Hybrid Cloud Backup and Recovery platform. Customers can use Asigra software as part of services provided by a third party or they can purchase and deploy it in their own private cloud.

-- Laurus Technologies announced plans to expand its managed services offerings to include archiving and backup services. Laurus' managed services offering will be based on a network of Tier IV SAS 70 Type II data centers, running Symantec Enterprise Vault.
