--Hewlett-Packard will resell Sonasoft’s backup-and-recovery software for Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and Windows servers.
--The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) has approved the eXtensible Access Method (XAM) version 1.0 specification and released a working draft of the associated XAM Software Development Kit (SDK). The XAM specification is now being prepared for ANSI and ISO accreditation and is expected to be integrated into storage products by Fall 2008 and into applications by early 2009.
--NetEx’s HyperIP bandwidth optimization appliance has been certified by FalconStor Software.
--Hifn has signed a distribution agreement with Promark Technology for US-wide distribution of Hifn’s Swarm Unified Storage Bundle.
--Rebit Inc. and ASI Computer Technologies, a distributor of computer components and peripherals, have a partnership that offers the Rebit appliance to more than 20,000 VARs throughout North America.
