Emulex has entered into an OEM agreement with Sun Microsystems. Under the terms of the agreement, Sun will brand, sell, and support Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs) from Emulex within the latest Solaris 10 operating system environment as well as legacy Solaris environments. This agreement enables Sun to sell and support Emulex SAN connectivity solutions to end users who have standardized their data centers on the Emulex family of LightPulse HBAs.

The Neverfail Group, a software company that provides data-protection, high-availability, and disaster-recovery solutions, has attained Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status through Windows Certification testing of Neverfail SCOPE v2.4 at VeriTest.

XOsoft has added 70 new partners during the first half of 2005, the latest of which are The Harding Group, STL Smartways Technology, Cambridge Computer, AmeriVault, and ServePath.

SmartSync Software has an OEM agreement with Netgear Inc., whereby SmartSync’s SmartSync Pro will be bundled with Netgear’s Storage Central, a network data storage solution.

Troika Networks has raised $14.4 million in Series B funding. Anthem Venture Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, DynaFund Ventures, Hamilton Technology Ventures, and Windward Ventures all participated in the round.

ONStor has licensed PyX Technologies’ iSCSI IP storage technology for use with its Bobcat series of NAS gateways.

Arkivio’s AUTO-STOR ILM software has been successfully integrated with Network Appliance’s Data ONTAP software through its APIs.

Xiotech and Spectra Logic have collaborated to create a tiered storage solution integrating Xiotech primary disk and Spectra Logic’s T-series libraries: The Spectra T950, T120, and T50.

Permabit and QStar have a partnership to provide customers with a way to manage their disaster-recovery and compliance initiatives. Permabit’s Permeon Compliance Store, combined with QStar’s Data Director, extends the functionality of an archive environment through the addition of real-time synchronous mirroring and enables users to write archive data to both tape and a system-independent disk format. The joint product also provides hot standby capabilities, a transaction logging cache, event-based mirroring, automatic re-synchronization of data, and load balancing.

Pillar Data Systems has an agreement with IBM Global Services, whereby IBM will provide Pillar customers with 24x7 field service and logistics support.

LSI Logic has achieved McData OPENready partner status, and its 2Gbps Fibre Channel HBAs have been qualified for use with McData’s Sphereon Fabric Switches.

nStor and CaminoSoft have completed certification testing of nStor’s SATA-based storage platforms with CaminoSoft’s ILM software suite.
