  • Brocade will provide its 4Gbps Brocade SilkWorm 48000 Director and Brocade SilkWorm 200E Switch for the Hewlett-Packard B-Series portfolio of networked storage solutions. According to company claims, the SilkWorm 48000 is the industry's first 4Gbps SAN director.
  • Engenio has certified the McData Sphereon 4400 and Sphereon 4700 4Gb Fibre Channel switches for compatibility with the Engenio 6998 4Gbps Fibre Channel storage system.
  • The Emulex 4Gbps LPe11002 and LPe1150 Fibre Channel HBAs have been selected by Hewlett-Packard for its family of HP ProLiant servers.
  • Asigra's Televaulting software will be incorporated into HP Electronic Vaulting Services for Enterprises, a managed service that includes installation/configuration and housing of the vault at HP data centers. Asigra's Televaulting, with its focus on recoverability, is designed to ensure that customer data at all protected locations is fully validated, verified, and recoverable.
  • Archivas has teamed with iLumin to offer a product bundle for e-mail archiving and storage management. The partnership will pair iLumin's Assentor Enterprise e-mail management suite with Archivas Cluster (ArC) for records management, discovery, litigation support, and compliance. The joint iLumin and Archivas package will support Exchange, Notes, GroupWise, and other messaging services. Archivas is attempting to generate more partnerships through a new partner program for its fixed content archiving products.
  • Evolving Solutions has received accreditation from IBM as an On Demand business partner. The accreditation recognizes Evolving Solutions' professionals and commitment to helping customers establish a vision and evolve their business processes.
  • QLogic's SANblade QLAR200 HBAs and SANbox Express 1400 switches have passed the requirements of the Microsoft Simple SAN Initiative. As part of this initiative, Microsoft is working with storage partners to help drive the creation of simple SAN solutions for the Windows Server 2003 platform.
  • EMC has expanded support of EMC software, systems, and services for SAP users (EMC DatabaseXtender for SAP R/3 database archiving software and EMC Automated BRBACKUP Replication). SAP has also certified EMC Centera CAS and Xythos Software Webfile Server 4.3 for SAP's new data archiving service using the WebDAV protocol.
  • StoredIQ has joined the Google Enterprise Professional Program, which extends the power of Google search and helps customers get more value out of their Google enterprise search deployments.
  • Fujitsu Siemens' PRIMERGY BX600 blade server is now available with a Brocade SilkWorm embedded SAN switch module to deliver high-performance, flexibility, and reduced operating costs in the data center, according to company claims.
  • Total Tec Systems, a Bell Microproducts company, will resell Sepaton's S2100-ES2 Virtual Tape Library (VTL) and related services and support as a new member of the Sepaton Catalyst Partner Program.
  • Tandberg Data and Chi, which develops and markets data management and storage solutions, have expanded their agreement to include LTO format drives and tape automation product lines. Separately, Tandberg has entered into a partnership with Anacomp to provide various ?SecureService packages, which will include on-site service, advance replacement, and a support hotline with native speakers.
  • Dot Hill's SANnet II line of storage systems has been certified with FalconStor's IPStor Enterprise Edition and VirtualTape Library (VTL) software.
  • The Brocade SilkWorm 200E 4Gbps Fibre Channel switch has been certified compatible with all models of Engenio Fibre Channel storage arrays.
