  • Red Hat announced the availability of a new security certification for IT professionals: Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS), which, according to company claims, is the first performance-based certification focused on security competency for enterprise Linux servers.
  • Sun has selected Seagate Technology's Savvio disk drives for the company's latest Sun Fire 64 (x86, 64-bit) servers.
