Diogenes Analytical Laboratories this week announced a Storage Buyer's Guild, which will offer price guidance to members. The goal is "to take the mystery out of storage product prices and provide comparative information," according to Diogenes president Phil Goodwin. The service goes beyond initial purchase price to include hardware, software, upgrades, and support costs. Annual membership fees range from $2,500 to $10,000, depending on the size of the IT organization.
