ONStor has opened ONStor University, an end-user training program that provides hands-on instruction to help system administrators get the most from their NAS gateway storage environment. Offered at six locations across North America, the initial curriculum includes two courses: a one-day NAS Gateway Administration course and a two-day NAS Gateway Installation course. QLogic and Hitachi Data Systems are delivering a Microsoft-designated Simple SAN Solution for Windows server environments. The new kits consist of QLogic 4Gb and 2Gb Fibre Channel products, including switches, HBAs, and connectors and are installed with Hitachi TagmaStore Adaptable Modular Storage and Workgroup Modular Storage. Separately, Hitachi has entered into a global distribution agreement with Ingram Micro, whereby Ingram Micro will distribute the next-generation, channel-optimized Hitachi TagmaStore Workgroup Modular Storage model WMS100 and Adaptable Modular Storage model AMS200 to its reseller network.
