  • Symantec has launched its Intelligent Archiving Partner program, developed to provide organizations with more-specific information about the content and context of the records in their ever-growing data stores. Symantec has partnered with a number of content classification and records management software providers to help Symantec Enterprise Vault e-mail and content archiving software customers make more informed decisions around the archiving, storage, retention, and discovery of these business records. Content classification software vendors include Kazeon, MessageGate Inc., Orchestria, and Recommind. Initial ECM and records management partners include Hummingbird, Interwoven, MDY, and Stellent.
  • QLogic announced that the new SANbox 6000 Series intelligent storage router, re-branded as the HP mpx100, is now available as the HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) iSCSI Connectivity Option. The Option serves up both Fibre Channel and iSCSI interfaces simultaneously.
  • Xiotech has completed its acquisition of the assets of Daticon, a Norwich, CT-based litigation support and document conversion services company, for $30 million.
  • AmeriVault has activated a redundant data vault located in Wood Dale, IL, a suburb of Chicago. Designed to ensure uninterrupted backup-and-archiving services, AmeriVault will replicate its primary data vault in Waltham, MA, to SunGard's Chicago mega center in real time.
  • Kashya has announced the Kashya Synergy Partner Program, a channel partner program to enable storage resellers to deliver mission-critical customer solutions built around Kashya's data-protection solutions. The Kashya Synergy Partner Program is designed to assist storage resellers in creating high-value, high-demand enterprise data-protection solutions through partner support, deal registration, promotions, and initiatives.
