QLogic’s 4Gbps SANbox 5600 Series Fibre Channel stackable switches are now available directly from Sun Microsystems and authorized Sun distributors. Separately, QLogic’s SANblade Pro 4Gbps Fibre Channel HBAs are now available from Hitachi Data Systems and its resellers.

Revivio plans to integrate IBM’s Tivoli Continuous Data Protection for Files software with its Continuous Protection System (CPS). 

GlassHouse Technologies and CA are offering IT organizations a storage management solution that combines CA’s software with GlassHouse’s services expertise.

Maxtor and LSI Logic recently completed compatibility testing to provide channel customers with jointly tested SAS and SATA components. Testing included the Maxtor Atlas SAS hard drives, LSI MegaRAID SAS adapters, and Maxtor’s MaXLine enterprise SATA drives with LSI’s 3Gbps and 1.5Gbps MegaRAID SATA adapters.

RAID Inc. has executed an agreement to acquire certain assets of Zzyzx and is offering continued service to qualified Zzyzx customers. Customers who purchased Zzyzx products can register their assets at www.raidinc.com.

Infortrend’s EonStor F16F-R2021 Fibre-to-Fibre RAID subsystems have passed qualification testing with FalconStor’s IPStor software.  

Double-Take Software has introduced a solution for joint Double-Take and VMware customers. By using the two products simultaneously, customers achieve real-time data protection for virtual machines.

Sybase and Mendocino Software plan to integrate Sybase’s database technologies, Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) and Sybase IQ with Mendocino’s RecoveryONE solution.

Pillar Data Systems has agreements with Brocade and McData that allow Pillar to resell storage networking products from both vendors, ensuring interoperability with Pillar’s Axiom storage systems. Through the partnerships, Pillar customers can deploy end-to-end SANs that integrate Brocade and/or McData products from entry-level switches to enterprise directors and storage routers.

Myricom, a provider of high-performance computing (HPC) interconnect technology, has selected Rorke Data, a subsidiary of Bell Microproducts, as its exclusive US distributor for Myricom’s Myri-10G 10GbE network interface cards (NICs).

Reldata’s IP Storage Gateway 9200 has been certified by Microsoft as “Designed for Windows XP.” The certification ensures compatibility with the Microsoft Windows XP operating system.

Data Gentry, a storage, security, and compliance solution provider, has joined Breece Hill’s Partner Program to sell Breece Hill’s storage products, including its flagship iStoRA product.

Digi-Data and FalconStor have introduced the Consolidated VTL (virtual tape library) system, powered by FalconStor software. Integrated into a 25U rack, all components for virtual tape and SATA disk connectivity are packaged into a pre-configured solution. Sharing capacity and controller bandwidth between VTL application and other secondary storage applications is addressed with Digi-Data’s clustered storage architecture-STorage On Redundant Modules (STORM).
