  • Maxxan Systems has joined the HP Developer and Solution Partner Program (DSPP) and will offer secure enterprise storage solutions with integrated components from both companies.
  • Unsuccessful in its attempts to establish a reseller arrangement with an established vendor or be purchased, Kasten Chase, based in Mississauga, ON, Canada, has declared bankruptcy and is closing its doors.
  • Double-Take Software and PlateSpin formed a partnership to offer centralized backup of entire Windows servers with a full recovery solution that is hardware-independent. Customers using Double-Take combined with PlateSpin PowerConvert experience continuous, whole-server protection and bare-metal recovery. They can restore servers automatically and recover business-critical data immediately onto any physical or virtual platform, rather than manually installing everything from scratch, application by application.
  • SiliconSystems' SiSMART self-monitoring storage technology has been awarded "Innovative Product of 2006" by the Orange County council of AeA, the largest technology trade association in the US. AeA presented SiliconSystems' SiSMART technology its highest award for innovative storage products. This award was based upon the AeA council's comprehensive review of a record number of nominations from every spectrum of the high-tech industry.
  • Double-Take Software has acquired its strategic partner, Sunbelt System Software, headquartered in Paris, with offices in the UK, Germany, Sweden, and Belgium. The acquisition will extend the customer base of Double-Take Software by leveraging Sunbelt's footprint across Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), Australia, and New Zealand.
