  • Abrevity, Breece Hill, and QStar Technologies announced an automated tiered storage (ATS) appliance. The ATS integrates Abrevity's FileData Classifier software, QStar's Hierarchical Storage Management software, and Breece Hill's iStoRA appliance.
  • Cisco Systems and EMC have qualified QLogic SANbox Fibre Channel switch modules for IBM BladeCenter with MDS 9000 Series Multilayer Directors and Fabric Switches from Cisco. EMC has qualified the combination of the QLogic switches and the Cisco MDS 9000 Series for use with EMC Symmetrix DMX series and EMC Clariion CX series networked storage systems.
  • Signiant and Sepaton have a partnership to provide businesses with a complete, non-disruptive solution for distributed data protection, combining Sepaton's S2100-ES2 VTL and Signiant Mobilize for Remote Data Protection (RDP).
  • Ario has secured $8 million in additional venture funding, bringing the total investment in the company to $44 million.
  • Plasmon and Promark Technology have a new distribution relationship in which Promark will distribute Plasmon's archive solutions through their VAR channels.

  • Aristos Logic has secured $15 million in Series F funding.
  • Onaro announced the availability of Service Connect, a Web services API that enables ISVs, application providers, and internal development teams to gain access to service-related data in Onaro SANscreen.   • Sepaton announced at the Storage World Conference that its S2100-ES2 Virtual Tape Library (VTL) system has attained certification with tape-based backup-and-recovery software applications, including Atempo Time Navigator; BakBone NetVault; CA BrightStor ARCserve Backup; CommVault Galaxy; EMC Legato NetWorker; HP OpenView Storage Data Protector; IBM Tivoli Storage Manager; Kodak Carestream PACS; Symantec NetBackup (including version 6); and SyncSort Backup Express.
  • Revivio has joined COPAN Systems' Persistent Data Storage Architecture (PDSA) ecosystem.
  • Adaptec has added ASI Corp., a distributor of computer component products in North America, to its network of national distributors.
  • Concentia Digital, an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions provider, and Plasmon have announced the Enterprise Content Management Archive Platform, a new storage technology solution combining the Concentia Multi-Media Archive Solution (MAS) platform with Plasmon's UDO Archive Appliance.
