  • Emulex has completed the acquisition of Sierra Logic. The terms of the acquisition include a transaction value of up to approximately $180 million in cash, assumed debt, and assumed Sierra Logic stock options, plus employee equity incentive compensation.
  • Copan Systems has added Synegi, an Irvine, CA, reseller specializing in high-performance data-protection systems, to its channel roster. Synegi will carry Copan's MAID solutions.
  • Plasmon has a strategic alliance with Hyland Software, developer of OnBase enterprise content management software. This alliance allows customers to leverage both vendors' platforms as an integrated solution that meets the needs of regulatory compliance.
  • Lucid8 LLC's Enterprise System Protector and its associated component applications have been certified for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard and Enterprise Editions. Certification testing was conducted by VeriTest, the testing service of Lionbridge Technologies and the authorized testing provider for Microsoft's "Certified for Windows" program.
  • IP SAN appliance vendor Siafu Software has integrated emBoot's winBoot/i software with Siafu's Swarm series of iSCSI-based IP SAN appliances, enabling users to boot Windows 2003 servers from the appliances.
  • Digi-Data has an agreement with JMR Electronics to assume all of JMR's systems business. Digi-Data will continue to market the JMR 42-bay SATA enclosure to both JMR and Digi-Data's existing base of channel partners as an additional part of Digi-Data's product line.
