  • Gateway will sell and support Emulex 4Gbps PCI Express Fibre Channel HBAs for enhanced SAN connectivity. The Emulex 4Gbps PCI Express single- and dual-channel HBA models (LPe1150 and LPe11002, respectively) are now generally available from Gateway and implemented in the company's new 4Gbps-enabled storage arrays.
  • Permabit has reached an OEM agreement with the Applied Computing Solutions division of the AVNET Technology Solutions group. Under the agreement, AVNET Applied Computing Solutions will team with Permabit to offer Permabit Dynamic Information Services as fully configured software and hardware solutions through Avnet's worldwide reseller channel.
  • AXS-One Inc. will launch AXS-One Data Archive Translator during the Microsoft Ready Summit in Australia, a five-city road show created to promote Microsoft Office 2007, Windows Vista, and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. The debut of Microsoft's suite of products coincides with the launch of AXS-One Data Archive Translator, which allows organizations to migrate e-mail archived in other messaging environments.
  • ATTO Technology has joined the Adobe OpenHD Alliance, partnering with other hardware and software technology companies to provide comprehensive desktop HDV and HD solutions.
  • Yosemite Technologies' Backup software has been selected by Dell as the default backup-and-restore software for its new removable disk device, the RD1000, which recently began shipping.
  • Kanematsu Electronics Ltd. (KEL), which designs and implements information systems for Japanese companies, and Arkivio announced that Arkivio auto-stor ILM software for file systems will be resold, implemented, and supported by KEL.
  • Sepaton's S2100-ES2 Virtual Tape Library (VTL) system has attained certification as fully compatible with Oracle Secure Backup.
  • Kalypton Ltd., a UK-based data compliance services company, has selected Brocade Tapestry Wide Area File Services (WAFS) and Data Migration Manager (DMM) to ensure that its customers' distributed file data can be securely migrated and managed with no disruption to business operations.
