  • COPAN Systems has added Dallas Digital Services (DDS), a Colleyville, TX-based reseller specializing in the enterprise storage market, to its list of channel partners.
  • Mendocino Software has signed a reseller agreement with Dynamic Systems that will deliver Mendocino InfiniView-based solutions in data protection, administration, and maintenance, built around Sun Microsystems' hardware and software, to agencies within the government market.
  • NEC Corporation of America has a strategic partnership with Archivas, whereby NEC will integrate and sell Archivas Cluster (ArC) software with its line of high-performance, modular storage arrays.
  • DocuLex, a document management company, and dtSearch, a developer of text search software for enterprise and developer customers around the world, have introduced a new version of WebSearch, DocuLex's Web-based document management application, providing "Instant Document Access" from any location. The new version includes Active Directory and public key infrastructure (PKI) enhancements.
  • Hewlett-Packard has chosen the QLogic 4Gb PCI-Express HBAs for refresh of HP's MSA1500 and MSA1000 SAN "Starter Kits." These bundles use the HP StorageWorks FC1142SR PCIe 4Gb Fibre Channel HBA.
  • Acronis has joined the Red Hat ISV Partner Program, which offers software vendors the opportunity to access the tools and resources necessary to develop and test their applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Acronis also has joined as a Red Hat Ready Partner.
  • Ariba, a provider of spend management solutions, has selected 3PAR Utility Storage with 3PAR Dynamic Optimization to support its on-demand infrastructure.
  • The Storage Networking Industry Association Europe (SNIA-E) has appointed Frank Bunn and Axel Luedecke to its Board of Directors. Bunn, a senior solutions marketing manager at Symantec, is a frequent speaker at international IT events, has co-authored the book, Virtual Storage Redefined, and is technical chair of the SNIA-E German Committee. Luedecke, director of sales and marketing at Infortrend, has 29 years' experience in the IT industry and previously served on the board of the Fibre Channel Industry Association Europe and as chair of SNIA-E's German End User Council. SNIA-E has also recently added eight new member companies: Hi-Stor Technologies (France), InfoGuard (Switzerland), Isilon Systems (UK), iStor Networks (US), NovaStor (Germany), PacketLight Networks (Israel), SmartOptics (Norway), and Synerway (France).
