Riverbed Technology has a cooperative support agreement with Network Appliance to help customers protect their distributed data and take advantage of heterogeneous data centers. The cooperative support processes for Riverbed’s wide-area data services solutions with NetApp unified storage systems, NetApp NearStore nearline storage systems, and NetApp V-Series virtualization systems address replication, backup, and consolidation of distributed data.

Data Domain has become the most recent partner in Nexsan Technologies’ Strategic Solutions (S2) Program. 

Emulex and Brocade are each providing products to the new InstaSAN Connectivity Kits for the EMC Clariion AX150 networked storage system.

QStar Technologieshas joined the HP Tape Automation Compatibility (TAC) Partner Program and is now certified on the entire HP tape automation product line for both QStar HSM and Data Director.

NEC Corporation of America has a strategic partnership with Archivas, whereby NEC will integrate and sell Archivas Cluster (ArC) software with its line of high-performance, modular storage arrays.

3PAR and PolyServe have an integrated utility computing platform for database and enterprise file serving environments. The combined offering pairs 3PAR’s Thin Provisioning and Dynamic Optimization with PolyServe’s Database Utility and File Serving Utility. Separately, 3PAR recently announced InServ Storage Server support for HP Serviceguard, a high-availability software platform that provides automatic fail-over capabilities for clustered HP-UX servers.

Scentric has completed interoperability testing between Scentric Destiny R2 and the Dynamic Information Services platform from Permabit. Scentric has also joined the Permabit Partner Circle for solution providers. 

AXS-One and MessageGate have an agreement to offer a solution that addresses the need for enhanced electronic records lifecycle management. The partnership combines AXS-One’s RCM software with real-time policy management and archive categorization capabilities developed by MessageGate.

Yosemite Technologies’ backup software has been selected by Dell as the default backup-and-restore software for Dell’s new removable disk device, the RD1000.

Symantec’s Backup Exec 11d for Windows Servers now natively supports Iomega’s REV drives.

DocuLex, a document management company, and dtSearch, a developer of text search software for enterprise and developer customers, have introduced a new version of WebSearch, DocuLex’s Web-based document management application, providing “Instant Document Access” from any location. The new version includes Active Directory and public key infrastructure (PKI) enhancements.

Hewlett-Packard has chosen QLogic’s 4Gbps PCI-Express HBAs for its MSA1500 and MSA1000 SAN “Starter Kits.” These bundles use the HP StorageWorks FC1142SR PCIe 4Gbps Fibre Channel HBA.

Acronis has joined theRed HatISV Partner Program, which offers software vendors the opportunity to access the tools and resources necessary to develop and test their applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Acronis also has joined as a Red Hat Ready Partner.

Gateway will sell and support Emulex 4Gbps PCI Express Fibre Channel HBAs. The 4Gbps PCI Express single- and dual-channel HBA models (LPe1150 and LPe11002, respectively) are now available from Gateway and implemented in the company’s new 4Gbps storage arrays.

Permabit has reached an OEM agreement with the Applied Computing Solutions division of the AVNET Technology Solutions group. Under the agreement, AVNET will offer Permabit Dynamic Information Services as fully configured software and hardware solutions through Avnet’s worldwide reseller channel.

ATTO Technology has joined the Adobe OpenHD Alliance, partnering with other hardware and software companies to provide desktop HDV and HD solutions.

ONStor and SGI Japan have a multi-year reseller agreement whereby ONStor will serve as the exclusive NAS supplier to SGI Japan, which will, in turn, offer ONStor Bobcat NAS Gateways and Pantera Clustered NAS systems to the Japanese market.
