Hitachi Data Systems has signed a global agreement to resell Onaro’s SANscreen storage management software. Under the terms of the agreement, HDS will market, sell, and provide support for SANscreen customers. Separately, HDS has a reseller partnership with communications technology company, Smartways, to provide online backup and storage solutions to small and medium-sized customers.

Emulex plans to expand support for customers of the Oracle Unbreakable Linux support program across its LightPulse HBA product line.

Zetera has an alliance with Double-Take Software to offer Double-Take channel partners and Zetera licensees utilizing the company’s Z-SAN SoIP technology solutions for disaster recovery and high availability.

Bell Micro has signed a distribution agreement with Chelsio Communications to sell 10 Gigabit Ethernet storage accelerators.

Kodak Service & Support, Eastman Kodak Co.’s worldwide service organization, will serve as the sole on-site service provider for Digi-Data Corp. One year of Kodak Service & Support will come with Digi-Data’s storage products.

LXI Enterprise Storage has entered into a reseller agreement with FalconStor Software. LXI will combine its Media Management System (MMS) software with FalconStor’s VirtualTape Library software.

Lucid8 LLC has joined the EMC Velocity2 Technology and ISV Program to develop a comprehensive e-mail performance solution that integrates Lucid8’s GOexchange product with EMC EmailXtender and Archive Services for Email software.

3PAR has announced its Carbon Neutral Storage program. For every terabyte of thin-provisioning capacity sold in 2007, 3PAR will purchase the equivalent carbon credits to offset the emissions of the disk drives required to deliver that capacity.

Acopia Networks’ ARX systems have successfully completed interoperability testing with IBM’s Systems Storage N-Series products and have been confirmed as IBM System Storage Proven. Separately, Acopia has joined the StorageNetworking.org initiative at The University of California’s Information Storage Industry Center (ISIC).

Anacomp has been named ­Siafu Software’s Authorized Maintenance Service Provider. Functioning as the organization’s service arm, Anacomp will deliver on-site maintenance and logistics services nationwide.

Sonasoft has a distribution agreement with Synnex, a global IT supply chain services company, for distributing Sonasoft products in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Synnex will distribute Sonasoft’s Point-Click Recovery software for Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and Windows file systems.
