Hifn has attained Gold Certified Partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program.

Chelsio Communications announced its T3-based 10GbE adapters have been selected by Isilon Systems to provide the high-speed interconnects for its recently introduced Accelerator-x clustered storage extension nodes.

Asigra and Consonus announced a partnership to provide Consonus Virtual Business Continuity (VBC) services. Consonus now provides a VBC managed service that uses the Asigra Televaulting Information Recovery Management services platform. The initial VBC offering is focused on Microsoft Exchange, with similar capabilities for other applications on the Consonus VBC road map.

Start-up ParaScale is making its ParaScale Cloud Storage (PCS) software available for customer trials. Targeted at service providers and enterprises, PCS is a software-only product that enables the creation and management of cloud storage infrastructures.

DataCore Software and Fujitsu-Siemens Computers (FSC), a producer of IT infrastructure services, announced a new partnership across Europe. The companies will collaborate on distribution, marketing, and technical support.

Emulex’s LightPulse 8Gbps Fibre Channel HBAs are now supported on NetApp storage systems. Separately, Emulex’s BR-2401 embedded storage bridge has been selected for use within 3PAR’s InServ Storage Servers.

ONStor and Nexsan have entered into a worldwide OEM agreement whereby ONStor will incorporate Nexsan’s SATABeast and SATABoy storage systems into its Pantera line of NAS products. In addition, ONStor has certified the Nexsan SATABeast with the ONStor Bobcat and Cougar NAS gateways.

LeftHand Networks, CA, Emulex, and 3PAR have separately announced support for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V virtualization platform.

Data Domain’s service provider partners BluePoint Data Storage, Distributed Systems Services (DSS), and Simply Continuous are selling new managed storage services based on Data Domain’s de-duplication storage systems.

Fusion-io, a provider of enterprise solid-state disk technology and high-performance I/O solutions, is working with IBM to accelerate data access performance in IBM’s clustered storage systems. The two companies have adapted Fusion-io’s technology for “Project Quicksilver.”

Atto Technology’s ExpressPCI UL5D SCSI HBAs and iPBridge 2700 iSCSI-to-FC bridges have been certified Solaris Ready by Sun.

CDW has selected Asigra Televaulting as its online backup platform.

Adaptec signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately held Aristos Logic, in a cash transaction of approximately $41 million. 

EMC and Lenovo, a maker of personal computers, have a global partnership to provide an unlimited online data backup service specifically designed for the small business professional. The new service is available on all new Lenovo ThinkPad SL series notebooks and is powered by EMC Mozy.

DataCore Software has integrated the latest generation of Emulex’s high-speed 8Gbps Fibre Channel HBAs into its SANmelody and SANsymphony products.
