--Promise Technology and CommVault announced their membership in The Green Grid, a global consortium dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centers and business computing ecosystems. Promoting the adoption of energy efficient standards, processes, measurements and technologies, The Green Grid comprises an interactive body of members who share and improve current best practices around data-center efficiency.

--DataCore Software has integrated the latest generation of Emulex's high-speed 8Gbps Fibre Channel HBAs into its SANmelody and SANsymphony products.
--Tandberg Data has introduced RDX FileKeeper, a software add-on for the RDX QuikStor disk-based removable storage system that provides continuous protection of user data and a complete backup of all system and application data. The new RDX FileKeeper software will be included with all new RDX QuikStor units. Tandberg Data also announced the availability of the new 500GB RDX QuikStor cartridges.
--Storwize Inc. announced that Polycom Inc., a provider of unified collaborative communications solutions, has selected Storwize's STN-6000 solutions as part of a long-term IT strategy.
--Pivot3 and Vidicore, a European manufacturer representative specializing in physical security technologies, have an agreement to jointly build Pivot3's channel partner network in Europe. Under terms of the agreement, Vidicore will represent and support Pivot3 products to physical security resellers and integrators, with emphasis on large-scale storage markets, including public sector, homeland security, gaming, transportation, and education.
