  • QLogic is collaboratimg with Hitachi Data Systems by introducing the Hitachi iSCSI Plug-and-play SAN Kit. The new kit, which includes QLogic SANblade 4050 Series iSCSI HBAs, was designed specifically for the Hitachi iSCSI Adaptable Modular Storage and Workgroup Modular Storage systems and has been designated a "Microsoft Simple SAN Solution" for Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • NeoScale has launched its Key Partner Program, which thus far includes VARs and distributors such as Zycko, Agylisis, and Zunesis. Separately, NeoScale has a distribution agreement with Avnet whereby Avnet will provide services and support for the full suite of NeoScale's storage security appliances.
  • Autodesk has entered into an agreement to integrate ATTO Technology's Celerity 4-Gigabit Fibre Channel Host Adapters as part of the Autodesk visual effects and editing/finishing solutions.
  • 3Leaf Systems, a provider of next-generation virtualization solutions for enterprise data centers, is working with Emulex to deliver next-generation server virtualization solutions. 3Leaf will leverage Emulex 4Gbps LightPulse HBAs, which enable Fibre Channel I/O virtualization on the 3Leaf V-8000TM Virtual I/O Server.
  • InMage Systems has secured $10 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, and Kumar Malavalli, InMage chairman and chief strategy officer.
  • Atempo, BakBone, CA, EMC, and Symantec have certified Data Domain's Virtual Tape Library (VTL) software option for use with their backup offerings.
  • FarStone's system recovery software, DriveClone 3 Pro SR, has been selected by Howard Technology Solutions for integration into their computer systems that use Windows Vista and XP operating systems.
  • Autonomy Corp. plc has an agreement to acquire Zantaz for approximately $375 million in cash after certain deductions. The combination of the two companies will redefine information risk management by proactively automating the full spectrum of consolidated archiving, e-discovery, analytics, and real-time policy management in one system.
  • Ultera Systems Inc. has entered into a strategic partnership with Sercel, a company that deals with seismic acquisition, under which Sercel will internationally market and support the Mirage Data Recorder (MDR). The MDR is designed for real-time data acquisition in mission-critical operations where repeating the test is either impossible or cost-prohibitive.
  • AXS-One announced the release of AXS-Link for Sun JMS, a policy-driven archiving and management solution for Sun Java Messaging Server.
