- XenSource has signed an OEM agreement with Symantec to embed Veritas Storage Foundation, Symantec's storage management software, into XenEnterprise and collaborate on delivering HA/DR and backup technology to XenSource customers.

- Asempra Technologies has entered into a strategic partnership with Omaha, NE-based MSI Systems Integrators (MSI).
- Hewlett-Packard is acquiring Opsware Inc. for about $1.6 billion. The deal is expected to close by October 31.
- Arsenal Digital Solutions launched its multi-tiered Arsenal Armory Program, which enables partners to capitalize on data-protection services for SMBs. As part of the launch, Arsenal introduced partners HexiSTOR, Jamcracker, and SoftNet Technology.
- RAID Inc. has entered into a strategic partnership with A&T Systems to help the US Government procure high-performance storage systems at GSA and other program discounted prices. The agreement was originally signed in June 2006. As part of the agreement, A&T will have the ability to sell across RAID's complete product line, including its new Magellan 4Gb FC-SAS and X4 4Gb FC-FC storage systems.
