-- Hitachi Data Systems has unveiled a set of new storage and data protection systems that offer small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) storage and data protection technology in cost-effective bundles. The new Backup in a Box offerings feature HDS storage technology combined with software from CommVault and Zycko. The bundles are available in 6TB, 9TB and two 12TB options. The bundles support backup of up to 20 servers and include primary applications such as Microsoft Exchange, SQL and SharePoint.

-- DataCore Software has entered into a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro. Ingram will distribute DataCore's full line of storage virtualization software solutions in North and South America.

-- Atto Technology has teamed with Xyratex to offer a video production system based on Atto's Celerity Fibre Channel HBAs and Xyratex's F6412E RAID arrays. The 4Gbps system is compatible with Mac OS X platforms.

-- Nimbus Data Systems, a developer of IP storage systems and software, announced that Info X, a provider of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) connectivity equipment, has selected Nimbus' H-class unified storage systems as its flagship storage product line.

-- Verari Systems has announced an Energy Credit Incentive Program for customers who plan to install the Verari BladeRack 2 X-Series platforms or FOREST storage container systems, both of which use Verari's Vertical Cooling Technology. Qualifying customers are eligible for an energy credit (rebate) of up to $500,000

-- Crescendo Networks has partnered with Riverbed Technology to deliver end-to-end application acceleration to corporate customers. The companies are combining Crescendo's AppBeat DC with Riverbed's Steelhead WAN acceleration appliances to provide faster application performance, availability and stability across the WAN to branch offices as well as to users outside the corporate network.
