  • NEC has selected LSI's MegaRAID SAS adapters for integration into NEC's newest Express5800 series of servers. The newly launched MegaRAID SAS 8708EM2, featuring the SAS1078 RAID-on-Chip (ROC), has been adopted for new NEC rack-mount and tower servers, including the Express5800/120Rj-2 and the Express5800/120Rh-1.
  • Asempra Technologies' Business Continuity Server (BCS) has been validated by IBM/Tivoli as Ready for IBM Tivoli software and listed in IBM's Open Process Automation Library (OPAL) online catalog. The OPAL catalog is designed for customers to easily identify storage software management solutions that are part of an online ecosystem for sharing Tivoli integrations and solutions developed by IBM and IBM Business Partners (ISVs).
  • The Green Grid, a global consortium dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centers and business computing ecosystems, announced a formal collaboration with the DMTF, a consortium dedicated to advancing the adoption of interoperable management standards. The DMTF joins the growing ecosystem of government, non-governmental, and industry organizations that are working with The Green Grid in mutually beneficial relationships that underscore the importance of its mission.
  • ProStor Systems' InfiniVault archive appliance has been qualified as compatible with Rocket Software's Arkivio auto-stor.
  • Mimosa Systems and RenewData have formed a partnership to address growing organizational demand for a proactive and comprehensive approach to litigation readiness regarding Electronically Stored Information (ESI). The partnership combines Mimosa's next-generation archiving and e-discovery technology with RenewData's e-discovery and ESIRM services. Separately, Mimosa and Index Engines have a joint partnership to meet comprehensive organizational e-discovery requirements for online and offline data solutions. The partnership addresses the myriad business challenges posed by compliance regulations and changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedures (FRCP).
  • Teneros has secured $40 million in late-stage funding, bringing total capital raised to date to $84.5 million. The round was led by Advanced Equities, with participation from Goldman Sachs, New Enterprise Associates, Sevin Rosen Funds, and STAR Ventures.
  • Vodafone Ventures has made a private equity investment in Caringo, joining Austin Ventures in funding the company for its future stages of development.
  • InMage Systems introduced a program that enables government organizations to acquire disaster recovery and business continuity software specific to their technology, etc.
