  • Hifn and Freescale Semiconductor are collaborating to further increase opportunities in the data storage market by jointly developing solutions that leverage the respective strengths of Hifn's Applied Services Processors (ASPs) and card-level products, with Freescale's embedded processors based on Power Architecture technology.
  • DataCore Software has selected Moose Logic, a managed services provider and a Citrix value-added reseller, to deliver DataCore storage virtualization solutions to their market in the northwestern US. Moose Logic will offer the full line of DataCore's SAN storage virtualization, disaster recovery, and continuous data-protection solutions, including the newly announced SANmelody-based VM Starter SAN and Feature-Packed Storage Virtualization offering.
  • The 3PAR InServ Storage Server has been successfully certified with VMware ESX Server 3.5, a component of VMware Infrastructure 3 that provides increased levels of automation and higher performance. This certification means that 3PAR InServ Storage Servers are listed on the VMware qualified Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) for VMware ESX Server 3.5.
  • FalconStor Software has partnered with Total Tec Systems, a systems integrator, to offer FalconStor storage virtualization appliances and data-protection appliances to the mid-market. Total Tec will offer the FalconStor Virtual Tape Library (VTL) Storage Appliances with embedded data de-duplication, the FalconStor Continuous Data Protector (CDP) Storage Appliances, and the FalconStor Network Storage Server (NSS) Appliances for environments using HP servers and HP storage.
  • Xiotech has launched a new three-tier channel partner program that includes a new Elite partner level, in addition to its Premier and Preferred partner levels. Elite partners, the latest of which is Nth Generation, will have specific storage virtualization and VMware expertise.
  • Dynamic Network Factory (DNF) has created DNF Security, a business division that will capitalize on double-digit growth in the IP surveillance market to provide customers with a complete centralized infrastructure for managing cameras, video servers, camera management servers, storage, and long-distance communication.
