  • Gear6 has secured a $10 million dollar financing round led by Horizon Ventures. Existing investors US Venture Partners and InterWest Partners also participated in the round.
  • ATTO Technology's Version 3.10 Xtend SAN iSCSI initiator is available for use with HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Arrays in Mac environments as a connectivity solution for accessing native Fibre Channel storage. Separately, ATTO's Celerity FC-42ES Fibre Channel Host Adapter has been verified by Brocade Communications Systems as compatible with Brocade-based SAN infrastructure.
  • Atlantic Data Team has signed on as the newest member of Hifn's Channel 100 VAR Partner program for its Swarm Encrypted IP SAN appliances. Focused on the SMB customer, Atlantic Data Team is dedicated to providing integrated solutions and IT services throughout the southeast.
  • BMC Software has announced its intention to buy BladeLogic, a supplier of server-provisioning software, for about $800 million in cash. The deal is expected to close this summer.
  • 3Tera, a provider of grid computing technology and utility computing services for Web applications, and Nirvanix, a "Cloud Storage" platform provider, have entered into a partnership to offer new advanced cloud computing solutions, including global distributed storage, content distribution, and remote backup capabilities for Web application developers.
  • CommVault named Incentra Solutions, a supplier of IT products and services, as its first national US reseller.
