  • Hifn has signed Xdata as the latest addition to its roster of resellers for Swarm iSCSI appliances.
  • Chelsio Communications' 10GbE Unified Wire adapters have been selected by Data Domain as the high-performance Ethernet interconnect option for its recently introduced DD690, an inline de-duplication storage system for backup and other nearline storage applications.
  • Reldata's solutions powered by the Reldata 9240 have been verified for Citrix XenServer.
  • Voltaire Ltd. is working with LSI to cross-certify the company's InfiniBand-based storage systems with Voltaire switches and software.
  • Nichia Corporation of Japan and Call/Recall Inc. will jointly develop an ultra high-capacity optical disc recording and playback systems. The platform is designed around Nichia commercially available violet and blue laser diodes and Call/Recall's 1TB media. Nichia co-developed blue-violet laser diodes in conjunction with Sony. Call/Recall began synthesizing one TB materials for Nichia's blue-violet laser diodes in December 2007, with first initial testing successfully completed in March 2008.
  • The StoredIQ Appliance is now available through EMC Select. Customers can purchase the appliance directly from EMC as part of the EMC e-discovery Solution for Collection. EMC will offer StoredIQ's information governance suite, which is used by enterprises in highly regulated or litigation-prone arenas to automate e-discovery, cut legal and IT costs, and proactively manage unstructured information.
  • Atto Technology will integrate the Atto ExpressSAS R348, a high-performance 3Gb SAS RAID adapter, within the Inscriber G7 broadcast graphics system from Harris.
