-- QLogic announced that it is a manufacturing and marketing partner for the new HP Virtual Connect 8Gb 20-port Fibre Channel module. The Virtual Connect module operates in HP BladeSystem c7000 and c3000 enclosures to provide "wire once – change ready" SAN connectivity for ProLiant and Integrity BladeSystem c-Class blade servers.

-- As part of a partnership agreement, Atempo has certified its Time Navigator and Digital Archive software with Exanet's Exastor Clustered NAS product line.

-- Texas Memory Systems (TMS) has acquired data management patents and source code from Incipient. TMS plans to use the technology with its solid-state disk (SSD) drives.

-- Emulex has released a software developer kit (SDK) for target mode drivers. The TargetConnect target mode software developer kit will help data center storage solution developers to build and deploy Intel Architecture-based storage products using Emulex SCSI target mode drivers. All drivers created using the SDK will be compatible with all of Emulex's product lines, including single, dual and quad-channel Emulex LightPulse 8Gbps and 4Gbps Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs) and single and dual-port Emulex LightPulse 10Gbps Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) converged network adapters (CNAs).

-- Tandberg Data has begun selling DAT tape drives and media products through its global distribution channel. Tandberg DAT tape drives are available in 72GB or 160GB capacities with a selection of different configurations (internal, external or rackmount) and interfaces (SCSI or USB). Tandberg Data is also working with HP on the release of DAT320 later this year.

-- Asankya is partnering with Carahsoft Technology, a government IT solutions provider, to market and sell Asankya's RAPIDnet Application Delivery Network (ADN) service to government and military markets through Carahsoft's GSA schedule. RAPIDnet securely accelerates encrypted traffic over the Internet.
