-- NetApp has selected Emulex's OneConnect Universal Converged Network Adapters (UCNAs) for 10GbE and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) host server connectivity to NetApp's Ethernet-based storage systems.

-- GlassHouse Technologies is now offering Interlock Technology's data assessment and migration services as part of its storage services practice. Interlock Technology data assessment and migration services give EMC Centera users SRM-like visibility into their Centera environments and enable heterogeneous movement of data between active archive CAS systems and any standard NAS or SAN device. Interlock takes advantage of Centera's parallelism to enable migration speeds of up to 6TB per day.

-- Metalogix, which specializes in software for data migration, management and archiving for SharePoint and Exchange, has acquired StoragePoint, which claims that it can reduce the capacity of SharePoint content databases by as much as 95% by keeping BLOBs out of the SharePoint SQL database and storing them on on-premise or cloud storage platforms.

-- Open-E announced an update for the latest generation of its Open-E IP-storage management software. Open-E Data Storage Software V6 (DSS V6) features iSCSI volume replication and failover of logical volumes up to 16TB and support for Qlogic's 8Gbps Fibre Channel HBAs.

-- Data backup software maker PLCS has released version 2.5 of its PLCS Reporting software.  Now also shipping as a virtual machine, PLCS Reporter provides monitoring of a company's IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) environment. PLCS Reporter v2.5 provides live data gathering, and one button analysis, reporting and trending of backup servers and clients.

-- Akorri's BalancePoint software has been validated by VeriStor Systems as a "VeriStor Certified Product." BalancePoint provides an infrastructure-wide analytical systems management solution that offers visibility and control to troubleshoot and assure performance, plan server and storage capacity, and manage service levels. BalancePoint is available as a virtual appliance, supports VMware vSphere, plugs into VMware vCenter and plans to support Microsoft Hyper-V and other major hypervisor technologies.
