MTI introduces Fibre Channel array

Targeting OLTP and enterprise-level database environments, MTI Technology`s Gladiator 6300 supports the Fibre Channel interface for theoretical transfer rates of up to 100MBps. The array can be integrated with MTI`s Business Critical Remote Mirroring (BCRM) technology, which competes with similar technology from EMC Corp. BCRM allows a host to write data to a local primary array as well as to a remote secondary storage system.

MTI claims more than 300 MIPS of processing power, 64MB of processor cache, up to 256MB of mirrored write-back cache, and support for RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, and 5. Operating system support includes Unix, Windows NT and OpenVMS.

Capacity ranges from 18.2GB to more than 1.7TB, with pricing ranging from $53,200 to $535,000 for a fully-configured system. www.mti.com.
