Adaptec Inc. last month announced the layoffs of approximately 100 employees from its storage systems division. The company will focus on its core I/O businesses and will strengthen its SCSI and RAID hardware components and software products. The cutbacks represent about 4% of Adaptec?s worldwide workforce.
