Sutmyn Storage Corp. recently inked an OEM agreement with Hitachi Data Systems whereby HDS will distribute its Scimitar virtual tape systems in Europe. Also, Sutmyn has certified HDS? Freedom 5700E and 7700E storage systems for use with Scimitar, and Hitachi has secured a bundling agreement with Harbor Systems Management. Harbor?s HFT software, when integrated with the 7700E subsystem, is designed to relieve network traffic and avoid downtime.
