ECCS boosts Synchronix

Claiming as many as 17,800 I/Os per second and a 73MBps throughput, ECCS recently began shipments of the Synchronix 2000 RAID system. Features include dual active/active controllers with dual Ultra SCSI host busses, mirrored cache and five Ultra SCSI data busses. The array can store data from heterogeneous hosts (e.g., Unix and Windows NT). The system`s array-based failover does not require additional host drivers.

The Synchronix 2000 is available with Ultra SCSI, Fibre Channel or ServerNet connections. Controller features include an Intel i960HD processor, dual 132MBps cache coherency busses, 32MB to 512MB of cache, and concurrent support for RAID 0, 1, 3, 5, 10 and non-RAID configurations. Capacity ranges from 910GB to 2.2TB in a cabinet enclosure.
