At Comdex last month, Sony Electronics` recording media and energy group exhibited SuperStation, a tape backup solution for PC applications. SuperStation uses either 6.6GB or 10GB quarter-inch minicartridges and has a maximum transfer rate of 50MB per hour. The desktop solution is available this month in internal and external configurations for a suggested retail price of $149.99 and $179.99, respectively. Cartridge prices start at $24.99 for a single 6.6GB pack. www. sony.com.
