Aiwa ships external Bolt drive

Aiwa last month began shipping an external version of its Bolt tape drive, which was introduced earlier this year. Like the internal model, the external product provides up to 10GB of capacity and has a 50MB/minute data transfer rate. The drive comes bundled with Backup Exec software for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4.0 and can read Travan TR-3 cartridges, though reformatting is necessary. Two cartridge capacities are available: 6.6GB and 10GB. The drive lists for $179; the media for $35.99 and $29.99, respectively.
