Tecmar Technologies recently signed several OEM agreements for its Travan NS20 tape technology. Most notably, Tecmar signed a pact with Motorola Computer Group (MCG). MCG will offer the drive as a backup solution for its passive backplane computer systems, which are sold into embedded computing market segments. Asus, a board and card manufacturer, will use the NS20 for in its AsusPro series servers, and Leo Systems, Inc., also a manufacturer of motherboards, will integrate the drive into its 9000 server line. And Asian server manufacturer MiTAC will use a 20GB NS20 in its new Lextron server.
