Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) and Sutmyn Storage expanded their distribution agreement to include the distribution and servicing of Sutmyn`s Scimitar/Virtual Tape Server (VTS) in the United States. The agreement also includes certification of the Hitachi Freedom 7700E and 5700E storage subsystems with Scimitar/VTS. In a separate agreement, Computer Network Technology SAN data channel connectivity hardware is now certified to operate with the Scimitar/VTS.
