Nitech enters NAS market

Nitech (Irvine, CA) recently joined the growing ranks of network-attached storage (NAS) vendors with a RAID array that attaches directly to a LAN via 10/100/1000 Ethernet connections. The XRP 1000 supports NFS and CIFS, and comes with a three-channel RAID controller that supports nine disk drives (9GB, 18GB or 36GB) per enclosure. Add-on arrays in 70GB, 140GB, and 288GB capacities are also available. Pricing starts at $39,000.
