Hitachi Data Systems` (HDS) Freedom 7700 and 5800 storage subsystems are certified for use with Sutmyn Storage`s Scimitar Virtual Tape Server (VTS). Last month, Ancor Communications announced plans to OEM its GigWorks MKII Fibre Channel switches to HDS. Ancor also made its first SAN distribution disclosure when it announced that Consan will integrate and distribute its GigWorks.
