StorageTek and Amdahl Global Solutions inked a strategic distribution and marketing agreement. StorageTek will offer Amdahl`s Trasparent Data Migration Facility software for enterprise customers running System/390 who need high availability and total data integrity. StorageTek also said Computer Associates (CA), Tivoli Systems, and Seagate Software are the first independent software vendors to certify its 9840 tape drive on Windows NT. CA`s ArcServe 6.6, Tivoli ADSTAR Distributed Storage Manager, and Seagate Software`s Seagate Backup Exec 7.2 are now certified to run StorageTek`s 9840 tape drive on NT.
