Verbatim is currently shipping a SCSI-2 version of its Mitsubishi CDRW4420 drive. Both this version and its EIDE drives are bundled with CeQuadrant`s just!burn software, which provides mastering and packet-writing capabilities. The SCSI-2 version of CDRW4420 writes to CD-R and CD-RW media at 4X speeds, offers 4X CD-RW overwrite capabilities, and up to 20X read performance for CD-ROM, CD-R and CD-RW media. The CDRW4420 drive with the bundled software offers a plug-and-play solution for Windows 95 or Windows 98 PC environment. Price: $499. CD-RW media is $14.99. DVD media pricing is yet to be determined. www.verbatimcorp.com.
