Terascape optimizes database performance

Terascape last month announced StorageVision, a suite designed to optimize Oracle database performance on EMC`s Symmetrix arrays.

StorageVision helps users map an Oracle database`s logical performance properties with the physical layout and data placement stored on the Symmetrix by analyzing I/O patterns from Oracle tablespaces through the Symmetrix logical disk, hyper-volume, and disk spindle levels. This helps users anticipate and detect overloaded hard drives and quickly relocate data for better performance. StorageVision starts at $15,000.
