Hewlett-Packard re-numbered its HP SureStore E MC256 high-end disk array announced in May to the HP SureStore E Disk Array XP256. This and other related HP enterprise storage products containing the "MC" numbering formula are being changed in relation to a trademark dispute with EMC. HP`s high-speed I/O business unit introduced a program last month to assist system OEMs and integrators create interoperable solutions for the SAN market. The Tachyon Tested SAN solutions program will test Tachyon PCI Fibre Channel host apapters with a variety of hubs, switches, routers, arrays, tape libraries and other vendors` adapters.
