Reorganizing to take aim at the enterprise storage resource management market, BMC Software created a Recovery and Storage Management (RSM) business unit, which encompasses two product lines. The storage management software line features the SpaceView suite of capacity and performance monitoring tools. The recovery management software line encompasses a variety of packages, including Recovery Manager, SQL-BackTrack and LogMaster. BMC also introduced the Resolve brand name, which encompasses all of its storage management products. The company plans to double the head count of the RSM business unit by the end of next year.
