Network Storage Solutions (NSS) recently selected Legato Systems` BudTool as the backup engine for its SPANStor line of thin-server appliances. With BudTool, a Network Data Management Protocol (NDMP)-enabled software suite, NSS will be able to leverage NDMP`s ability to provide high-speed local backups of enterprise data and decrease backup times and network traffic. Early next year, NSS plans to support Legato`s NDMP-enabled Networker software.
