Eleven FibreAlliance member companies have implemented the group`s recently developed management information base (MIB) spec. The MIB, submitted earlier this fall to the Internet Engineering Task Force as a standards draft, is a software technique to monitor and control heterogeneous interconnect devices within Fibre Channel-based SANs, such as hubs, switches, and host bus adapters.
