Acorn branches out to NT management

Acorn Software recently introduced version 1.0 of its VirtualBranches storage management software for Windows NT systems. The software provides data library management and concurrent access to robotic storage systems, such as enabling SMB network clients to access MO and CD-ROM data using the Internet. VirtualBranches includes policy management capabilities, and allows administrators to retrieve data regardless of their physical location. VirtualBranches 1.0 is scheduled to ship December 1.
